Position Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration/ Economics or similar field
Experience
At least 7 years’ experience in Sales / Channel Management /Product Management, with at least 3 years’ experience in managerial level.
Experience in driving products initiatives end-to-end; from planning to post-rollout management
Certifications
Knowledge
Strong understanding of customer insights and analytics
Strong understanding of product offerings and customer segments in banking and microfinance
Experience with Customer Relationship Management tool utilization
Understanding product and customer lifecycle and management
Strong knowledge and understanding of financials, sales processes, scorecards and key performance indicators
Strong understanding of People Management and performance appraisal tools
Skills
Excellent creative and strategic problem-solving skills (i.e. problem definition & structuring, analysis definition, insight generation & recommendation generation)
Excellent communication skills especially with top management and other stakeholders
Ability to drive the execution of new products, from inception to implementation
Strong negotiation and Presentation skills
Tech-savvy with the ability to understand, interpret and present data using a consultative approach
Main Purpose (Why does the job exist)
To drive growth and profitability of the company through identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strategic relationships, and creating strategies to expand Letshego’s market presence.
Critical Deliverables /Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Conduct research to identify potential markets, customer segments, and emerging trends.
Analyze market data and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats.
Identify potential clients, partners, and customers through various channels, such as networking events, online research, and referrals. Develop and maintain a pipeline for qualified leads.
Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to win new business opportunities. Ensure that the proposals address client needs and showcase Letshego’s value proposition.
Identify, develop and implement strategies to explore new markets, geographies and business verticals for expansion.
Lead negotiations with potential clients, partners, and collaborators to secure profitable deals.
Ensure that the agreements are aligned with the Company’s interests and financial targets
Collaborate with various internal teams, such as Marketing, Distribution, Products, Risk and Operations to align business development efforts with overall company strategies
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities, such as revenue growth, conversion rates, and pipeline development.
Prepare regular reports to communicate progress and results to senior management.
Ensure all complaints for both internal and external customers are resolved timely.
Analyse the performance of the various products to establish product success.
Provide support to the branch network and Direct Sales Agents.
Gather customer feedback to inform product development and improvement
